Day 2 (September 21, 2011)

Today, I went on a company visit to
Y4IT, UP Diliman, Quezon City

What I learned?
We attended the 2nd day of the annual Y4IT seminar held at UP Diliman. We went first to University theatre and waited for Sir Randy to give his welcome remarks as the president of PSITE.  After the welcome remarks, Sen. Vicente Sotto gave a key note talk and left a message that struck us: Filipino youth must not lose their values amidst of the change the world experienced because of IT. The next speakers discussed about game development, wherein I learned about asymmetric games, augmented reality game and motion detecting game.

What I liked?
What I liked most in our experience in Y4IT is the event itself. The entire event was well-prepared and organized. It is something that I can barely see when it comes to school events. I also liked the line-up of the speakers. They are really reliable and knowledgeable with the things that they are talking about. They are also very accommodating to the questions and curiosity of the delegates.

What I didn’t like?
What I didn’t like in our tour is we had no chance to see their IT Laboratory unlike the previous batch who had their visit in U.P. I would have wanted to see their facilities but was not able to because we attended the Y4IT seminar instead of scheduling a mini-Y4IT for us, just like what they did last year.
